sweet ride! - 2001 Lexus ES 300
By nwowner - September 28 - 10:00 amI just bought a used 2001 ES300 with 35K (23000 miles) and I love it. I have owned 4 Hondas/Acura in a row and never understood why people bought Toyotas. After driving this car I have a new appreciation for the quality of the build and the resulting ride. Acuras do not compare in quietness and quality of materials. This car is sooo quiet and relaxing. I look forward to long trips in this car. Although it is not a corner hugging rocket in the City it is still fun to drive. The stereo is awesome, I love the seats, front and rear. I think I will be looking at Lexus in the future instead of Honda/Acura

Great car, but not very sporty - 2001 Lexus ES 300
By The Rupp - June 3 - 3:13 pmI bought this car July 04 with 37,000 miles on it, and it was perfect. Almost a full year later, I havent had one problem with it at all. Great winter car, too. Gas mileage is great on it as well, Im getting about 21-23 mpg per tank (consistantly) and I dont use the highway very often. This car is PURE luxury. Its not sporty at all. If youre looking for something sporty, try the IS300 or the GS.

2001 ES - great ride - 2001 Lexus ES 300
By InHisname - January 21 - 6:03 pmI bought this car in 2001 with 13,000 miles on it. Someone traded it in to get a new car. I now have 148,000 and it shows no signs of slowing down. The oil is changed every 5000 miles and service is done as suggested. The car is a luxurious, reliable, smooth ride. It has all the features including moonroof. No real mechanical problems. The car handles beautifully. If I had one minor complaint it would be the turning radius. My wifes car seems to get better. That is almost not worth mentioning. I will buy another Lexus due to the quality and luxury ride they produce.

Best Car Ever Owned - 2001 Lexus ES 300
By Ted - November 25 - 7:50 pmWe bought our Lexus ES new in 2001. It is now 6.5 years old and has 79,000 miles. I just replaced the battery for the first time, and other than that, I have done oil, air filters, and one set of tires. This car is the most reliable thing. We paid the ES off 2 years ago and are going to keep it as a second car. We will be purchasing a new 2008 ES 350 and hope it is just as reliable as this one has been. Also nice to know is that the resale value is still approx $13K, after 7 years! We are sold on Lexus!

Very Happy ES 300 owner - 2001 Lexus ES 300
By Chris - August 26 - 6:43 amI purchased mine used with 36K miles and, like another ES 300 reviewer on this site, had to replace the idle control sensor as well! (defect?) Other than that the car has been a dream. I like it better than the newer Lexus models which have too many extra do-dads like a navigation system, etc. (Im a man and I know directions!)

Lexus ES300 Platinum Edition - 2001 Lexus ES 300
By JosephGut - May 22 - 8:00 pmThe ES300 is by far and away the most comfortable automobile that Ive ever owned, one of the most solid cars, and technologically the best Ive driven. This is the type of car where youll never say to yourself, "Gee, I wish they had done this or that" as far as the ergonomic and technical features of the car. Everything is laid out perfectly and every bell and whistle that the most tech savvy person could wish for has already been added.

Excellence on Wheels - 2001 Lexus ES 300
By Johnny B Drivin - November 3 - 10:00 amI am a former Volvo driver. After almost 8 years, I totaled mine and had to replace it in a week. Did my research and found the ES 300 to be the best car out there. My Volvo was reliable but never rode this nice. Though Ive had my Lexus only a few days, I love everything about it. It is quiet, responsive, extremely well appointed and ergonomically designed. It is a joy to drive. Mine had 32K miles when I purchased it and it runs smooth and quiet. Paid 21K. Great looking inside and out.

Cant Lose With The Lexus Brand - 2001 Lexus ES 300
By Hayden4Lexus - November 1 - 10:23 amNeeded a second car to drive once, maybe twice a week as wife & I carpool - this vehicle was first choice as I am repeat Lexus owner. Ride and handling are excellent and xenon lighting is awesome. Perfect compliment to our 2004 Lexus GX470. If you are reading these reviews notice the average consumer rating for this vehicle and believe me youll feel the same if youre reasonable in your expectations (not wanting a rocket ship BMW that keeps you at the dealer and drains your wallet - remember the speed limit remains the same even though the engines are faster). Youll be pleased with this vehicle.
